Who is the Main Character in Harry Potter?
To most people, this answer would be obvious. Harry Potter. But are these people right?
I've done some thinking, and I think I've finally come up with the honest, true, and absolutely legit main character of Harry Potter. Sorry guys, but the real main character of Harry Potter, is not Harry Potter. No, it's someone who doesn't even attend Hogwarts. The real main character is Tom Riddle.
No, not Tom Marvolo Riddle, the guy in desperate need of a nose. Tom Riddle Senior, Lord Voldemort's father (You should know it is taking all of my will not to insult Voldemort, since it would be rather rude to insult a dead person, even if he was evil).
How? Well, think about it. If Tom Riddle Senior hadn't been so handsome, he wouldn't have attracted Merope. And if Merope hadn't been attracted to him, she wouldn't have made him fall in love with her. And if they hadn't fallen in 'love (potion)', they wouldn't have had Voldemort. And if Merope hadn't had Voldemort, she wouldn't have taken the potion off of Riddle. And if she hadn't taken the potion off, Riddle wouldn't have left. And if Riddle hadn't left, Merope wouldn't have died. And if Merope hadn't died, Voldemort wouldn't have gone evil. And if he hadn't gone evil, he wouldn't have killed Lily and James. And if he hadn't killed Lily and James, he wouldn't have moved on to Harry. And if he hadn't moved on to Harry, he wouldn't have given him the scar. And if he hadn't given Harry the scar, Harry wouldn't have been famous!
So you see, Harry is just the attraction of the stories. For all we care, it could be told from Ernie Macmillan or Penelope Clearwater's point of view. TOM RIDDLE IS STILL THE MAIN CHARACTER.
